Diploma in Teaching text book

  • This book is the starting point for anyone working towards the Diploma in Teaching (DiT) qualification in the Further Education and Skills sector. Other books are also available.

  • It's also relevant for apprentice FE teachers and anyone working towards a CertEd/PGCE/PGDE, or continuing professional development for current teachers. 

  • It is written in my usual style, co-authored with Gavin Lumsden of Essential Teaching UK and published by Sage.

  • The book is written in an accessible language and in a logical way, similar to my previous books. 

  • Activities are included throughout to help you think about how to put theory into practice for learners aged 14 and upwards. This could be in any environment where learning takes place, such as a college; training organisation; the workplace; a further or higher education context.
