Information regarding the assignments

  • You should refer to the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the relevant qualifications to ensure all aspects have been covered prior to assessment.

  • The questions are a guide, and have been devised according to the relevance of each unit’s assessment criteria (and cross-referenced to them), rather than following them in order.

  • If you wish, you can change and adapt the questions as all assignments are supplied as electronic Word documents.

  • You are responsible for ensuring the units and credit values meet the rules of combination (where applicable).

  • Exemplar answers are available for some of the theory units as a guide to aid marking and standardisation. They must not to be given to learners under any circumstances and are only sold on this basis.

  • Academic writing and referencing is a requirement at level 4 and above.

  • You may need to agree the use of the assignments with your awarding organisation (AO) before use. They might stipulate a word count for each response, none of which are provided for these assignments as AOs differ regarding their guidance. You could decide on your own word counts if none are provided.

  • If learners are able to meet the requirements of any of the assessment criteria from other units, they should be able to cross-reference these rather than duplicate their responses. Holistic assessment is good practice.

  • Copyright remains with Ann Gravells, however, you are free to adapt and use the assignments as much as you wish within your own organisation.
