If you have completed a training course for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), but have since found out your provider was not legitimate, we are here to help.
KMF Training will assess your coursework and assignments, and guide you to complete the qualification. They are an approved centre with the Highfield Awarding Body.
It's a way of achieving a qualification by not taking a training course with us.
For example, if you have completed an online AET course with a training provider and submitted assignments, but you have not been formally assessed. Or you have been assessed, but your certificate has proved to be fraudulent.
You may be able to re-use your completed coursework and assignments, providing your responses meet the AET assessment criteria.
You will still need to deliver a micro-teach session, and provide feedback regarding other micro-teach sessions. Guidance will be given regarding this.
Me with Chris Vaines of KMF Training.
In association with KMF Training, I am pleased to announce that you can now work towards the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification with an assessment only route. This is providing you already have the knowledge, but you just need to be assessed.
Free informal guidance includes:
a consultation with Chris Vaines from KMF training to ascertain the background of your situation, and your current knowledge regarding the AET content
a free informal initial assessment of your coursework/assignments (which you completed elsewhere). Chris will check to see if your responses can be used to meet any/all of the AET assessment criteria
an action plan with guidance as to any gaps you need to work on
a price for the assessment only route based on your individual needs
Assessment only route to achieve the qualification. This includes:
everything in the informal guidance list
registration with the Highfield Awarding Body
ongoing support whilst you complete any additional work
access to an exclusive LinkedIn group where you can chat to others in your situation, and with myself and Chris Vaines
assessment of your assignments, and feedback
assessment of the micro-teach session, and feedback
internal quality assurance (IQA)
a certificate from the Highfield Awarding Body upon successful completion
A price will be agreed before you commence, this is based upon your individual needs.
* An electronic copy of the course text book (written by me) can be provided for a fee. Text books by a variety of authors for the AET can be located here.
** Online modules for particular topic areas may be recommended based on the initial assessment. These are £18 each. I have created the content of these, along with the downloadable resources which are included with them. They are accessible via any suitable internet enabled device.
You must be aged 19 or above
You must have completed AET assessment materials elsewhere and have electronic copies of these (the exception being the micro-teach session which will need to be delivered remotely - guidance will be given)
You must have a basic understanding of English, maths, and information & computing technology (ICT)
The following three units are included in the AET qualification:
Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training.
Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training.
Understanding assessment in education and training.
The IQA will endeavour to have carried out the necessary quality assurance activities within two weeks.
Once all course work, assessments and quality assurance activities have taken place (and you have been successful), KMF Training will make a claim for your certificate. Paper certificates can take up to 30 days to be sent out to KMF Training and then forwarded to you.
When you commence, you can join our exclusive LinkedIn group.
This is a great opportunity to discuss various topics with other participants (past and present).
You can ask questions directly to me and to Chris Vaines of KMF Training.
You can remain a member afterwards.
