Book launch 2017

Principles & Practices of Teaching & Training

30th November 2017

London

This event was organised by SAGE Publishing and held at their premises in London to introduce my book: Principles and Practices of Teaching and Training.

The book replaces all my other teaching & training books and is not affected by any future qualification changes.

I spoke about my journey into teaching and how I began writing books.

Everyone received a free signed copy of the book and had a great time. The Prosecco was flowing and there was a cake in the shape of the book!

Feedback from the event

  • "A very informative afternoon at SAGE publishing for the launch of Ann Gravells' new book. Listening to her back-story and journey was humbling and saying that I have met and spoken to ‘the guru’ in our field, especially to my international learners will be useful! Thank you Ann for a fab afternoon and the signed copy of your book." Stella Da Silva
  • "I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Ann's book launch last week. It was very interesting to hear of her journey as it is so similar to many people in Adult Education and Further Education. The trials and tribulations of her working life were fascinating and, in particular, the work of an EQA was so interesting.
  • I have most of Ann's books in their various guises and they are all accessible, easy to read and so helpful, both for me and all of my students over the past years. It's a pity they didn't exist when I first started Teacher Education classes back in 1998. I was very proud to be asked to help with this new book and Ann's very kind words in the 'Acknowledgements' meant so much to me. I would love to help in such tasks again. Thanks you to Ann and Sage Publishing." Audrey Fairgrieve, Abingdon & Witney College
  • "It was great meeting you - I had a fabulous time. Thank you for the signed copy of your book and the cake tasted yummy..." Olushola Elugbaiye ECMBi Training and Consultancy Ltd
  • "The session was very informative and worthwhile. There was a massive opportunity of networking with like-minded people and it reminded me of my purpose to teach in the lifelong learning sector. Thanks Ann - what a brilliant session, please keep them coming." Jeminiyi Ogunkoya
  • "Philip and myself had the great pleasure to hear Ann Gravells speak of her journey into teaching and being an author. Like many, including our students, I find her books easy to read with all the essential content, for whatever Education and Training course one is studying, Award to Diploma. 17 books selling over 180,000 copies in 11 years in an area packed with good offerings, is a testament in itself to her books' lasting appeal to students and teachers alike. Thanks SAGE publishing and Ann for a delightful afternoon. Looking forward to the next book!" Chris Bowles EQC Solutions Ltd
